Cape Coral single family new construction permits are and have been on the rise. In just 4 years, the amount of approved permits for Cape Coral has risen 200%! So, what does this mean for the real estate market and why are so many more permits being pulled and approved? Well, it's simple. As inventory on pre-existing homes drops, the demand for more housing rises, supply and demand as we are taught in economics 101 in high school. Not to mention the price gap between pre-existing homes and New construction is narrowing and buyers are willing to pay the small increase in order to have a home where they want, with the colors and floor plan they want exactly to their liking. My expectation is that we will continue to see a rise in New construction permits being pulled as the demand continues to rise.
